Yes, I saw those. I guess I don't have any illusions about how this process works. In the past, I've dealt with insurance companies and their outrageous "offers," but a 1993 Saab is a 1993 Saab. I'm pretty sure it won't do any good, but we have receipts showing over $2K spent in repairs/parts on the car from last month. With insurance companies, their basic objective is to get rid of your claim as soon as possible - which is a fact that, if you're aware of it - can be useful.
Many years ago a woman ran into my 9000T. The insurance company offered me a ridiculously low settlement. I simply refused their "offer." Eventually they sent me a check for more than twice the initial offer. Years after that, a drunk ran into my wife's 9-5 wagon. Same stupid process: after refusing their initial "offer," they finally agreed on a figure almost twice as much. I just hate this stuff...
