I had a limited amount of time and unfortunately did two things at once:
1. I got hold of a big torque wrench loaner tool from Autozone, backed off the axle nut and retorqued to 205 ft. lbs. - the actual spec. May have been a bit tight.
2. I chipped off all of the rust along the edges of both faces and the outer circumference of the brake rotor with a hammer and chisel. Removal and replacement of the caliper may have placed it in a slightly different position where the brake pads were now contacting the rust on the rotor.
Between these two actions, the right front wheel is making less (almost no) noise rolling forward or braking, but it still makes some noise when making a sharp left turn (right wheel heavily loaded). I guess that I'll live with it for now.
