TCS ABS assembly Compatability? Posted by Daven [Email] (#290) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Daven) on Wed, 29 Oct 2014 15:06:23 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Good evening all.
My car has that rock-hard brake pedal issue. The car is a 1995 9000 Aero 5spd TCS and the suspected culprit is the ABS Pump. In the process of pulling the entire ABS assembly out, I had to cut both the front brake lines running to it. The [hard] green lines' flange fittings had seized inside the couplings and couldn't be saved. I was surprised because the car only has around 94k miles.
So I have three questions:
1)What is the best option to replace these hard brake lines? Is NiCopp the best way to go? Anybody know what part number or size to order for a 9000?
2)Are all 9000 TCS ABS pump assemblies compatible? Could I use one from a 1992 9000 Turbo?
3)If the entire ABS assemblies aren't interchangeable between 9000 models with TCS, which ABS pump do I need? The information provided on parts websites isn't very specific about this?
Thanks very much!
