Results, however temporary...
OK First the CSE. This one had the weak low beam on PS, then no lights on PS on high beam. This is also the one where the lights would stay on after the key was off. I swapped the orange relay with my spare from my old 93 and with the one in the Aero....no change. I had also checked for 0 ohms between the appropriate terminals on the relay and it was good. I swapped the red relay with a new KAE and it made no difference. I checked the connector on the back of the PS low beam headlight and one of the connectors was partially pushed out of the bulb plug. Not sure if that happened when I checked the bulb or it it was like that before. I pushed it back in to the connector and reconnected the bulb. Tried it and the problem was still there. I started moving the harness built into the headlight assembly and the low beam came on brightly. I wanted to get the quick connector apart but I couldn't separate it. Very little room to work in there. I either have a bad connection or a broken wire. Once the flakey connection is made well. All of the problems with the CSE lights went away. This one is only temporarily addressed. I have to get back in there and find the problem. I will pull the headlight assembly out and clean and check all the wiring and plugs.
On the Aero, the problem was red relay. I took the one out of the CSE and those problems went away. I have to say, the replacement red relays out on the market suck. The Professional Parts Sweden one I bought from Eeuro never worked right out of the box and the KAE ones either don't work or only last a couple months. I'm not sure you can beat the OEM Saab relay. The aftremarket ones aren't worth the powder to blow them up.
I will get back to the CSE lighting issue once I get the A-pillar rust repair done over the Thanksgiving holidays.
