So since the other half of my carpool retired in April, I rooted around until I found a very good 9000 CSE manual, which I hoped would see me through retirement in 5 years or so. I had already owned a '92 9kT and a '95 Aero, so I knew what I was doing. What I wasn't prepared for was that 6 months later, on the way home from my Dad's house after thanksgiving, a bozo in a Chevy Suburban would pull out from her stop sign about 60 feet in front of me, when I was doing the 50 mph limit on the two-lane main road. Tee-boned her just behind the passenger side front wheel. Both of us went into the drainage ditch on the side of the road. I had to climb out of the rear passenger side door, since neither of the front doors would open from the inside. Car accordioned at the B pillar and let's not talk about the front up to the A pillar. Total loss. Meanwhile, I walked away with bruises and a bloody nose. Car did what it was supposed to, but I sure do miss it.
