Unless you're boosting over 30 psi.
After I roughed up the aluminium mating surface on the throttle body on my old 9000, the silicone boot didn't blow off again. So it is possible to make it stay together, even with boost pressures up to 1.8 bar (26psi). I don't know the experiences though of people running higher boost pressures than that.
PS: on my current 9000, the boot hasn't blown off yet after >1 year with stage 3 boost pressures (>20psi). So as long as it's mounted with some care, it should be fine for your requirements.
