oil pressure sender replacement

I tried to replace my oil pressure sensor today on my 1997t
these are my thoughts
I have done these on viggens and 9-5 cars and they were not fun so I searched the board for hints.
Someone said to do it from underneath, I tried this and could not.
So I tried again and still could not.
I soon realized I could easily do it from the top if only I had a deep 24mm socket, but of course I did not.
So to replace oil sender
1. go and get a deep 24mm socket and make sure you have 1/2 to 3/8 adapter
2. remove the 2 10mm bolts from the oil filler
3. get good light
4. remove wire from sender
5. use the deep socket with an adapter and 3/8 extension to remove.
6. stuff some paper towel inside the socket and use it to screw the new one in.
7. replace wire
I hope this helps someone
I think maybe you could do this from the bottom if you had a deep socket, a lift, and removed the exhaust, but I do not recommend it.
