Use the search window above to do searches on 215/55 and 215-55. You will see that it has been done before, usually with light rubbing in model year '93 and up (less clearance in earlier models).
The 215 is made for a 7" wheel, and 215 sidewalls won't perform optimally when squeezed into 6.5" Aero wheels.
It's hard to improve on 205/55/16 tires on Aero wheels. Get a softer compound if you want more grip. Get SAS bars if you want better than stock handling.
