You've probably read this but besides lubing as Simon suggests, you should always remove these by grabbing gently from above with pliers or lightly clamped visegrips and twisting from side to side while tugging up. DON'T pry upwards on the L leg extending out to the fuel line, as tempting a leverage point as it is. That's how they break. You grab straight down from above at the nose that sticks down into the fuel pump, and twist and pull from there.

I wouldn't be changing the originals if they're not broken, you are opening up a can of worms. Need to make some kind of tool to press the new ends into the cut-off nylon fuel line, need to "clock" the new end to point at same compass point as old one, and you're losing some precious length on the fuel line. They can only stand to have a little bit cut off them and still reach the fuel pump.

I also don't think you need to worry much about replacing the original o-rings if you do a quick in and out. They don't degrade much, and I'm also sure no fuel ever gets past the inner one and out to touch the outer one, which is a fail-safe backup.
