So today car started immediately and drove fine all the way home.
Yesterday, as I posted before, car would not start. It cranked over fine but no start. pulled fuel line at fuel rail and there was a spurt of gas when turned to the "ON" position but no fuel flow in "Start" (cranking). This has been going on for a few months. My son says if you wait 15-20 minutes the car will eventually start, it took overnight this time. The car is cold when it fails to start.
I will try to run Ari's no start diagnostics list. But since it starts now I wonder if I will find out the issue. The anti-theft module has already been removed on this car following directions on Saabnet.
I am beginning to think it is either the ignition switch or the crankshaft position sensor. I tested the sensor a couple of months ago and it tested OK (ohms).
I am going to run Ari's checks and also remove the ignition switch and take it apart and see if the contacts are burned.
Help is welcomed.
John
