So, after swapping in a spare throttle body that I just happened to have... the issue of LHM occurring when the car was hot continued to happen. The last time it did I quickly grabbed my ohm meter that I decided to keep in the car for this very reason and tested the TCS Safety bleeder valve on the false firewall. Sure enough it was reading infinite resistance (open circuit) when it should be around 30 ohms. At the same time I tested the control valve on the driver side fender (same valve, different bracket) and it read about 33 ohm. I went ahead and ordered the new safety bleeder valve and in the mean time I have swapped the two valves and it seems to be preventing the LHM issues. I have done about 80 miles of driving with the valves switched including some hot restarts and traffic and it has been fine. So the valve swap trick seems to really work if your safety bleeder is out of spec.
I'll follow up again in a few weeks after I get the new valve installed.
