I have a similar problem in both of my 9000s. Cars without TCS and no speed signal with have a stalling issue as the AIC valve needs this to "catch" the idle when de accelerating. There is also an issue with boost not able to move beyond base and timing retard coming in around 4k. Cars with TCS do not have the stalling issue. I have successfully tapped into the ABS speed signal. Because the ABS "ring" has more teeth than the number sampled by the transducer, the speed signal is greatly increased and the speedometer's speed is inaccurately reported. The signal, although inaccurate, resolves the boost issue through third gear. After that, the perceived high speed(the speedometer is now recording 100 plus MPH)causes the computer to return a to base boost. My plan to resolve this problem: Attach an ABS (plumbing Type ABS) plastic "ring" around the transmission driver hub embedded with 19 steel fasteners and use an ABS (anti lock type) sensor mounted on the transmission to create a new, mostly accurate, speed signal.I believe that if the ring is thin enough it can be opened up enough to clear the axle so that one does not need to pull the CV joint apart to install it. Of course, it could be made in two pieces also; to my mind, one piece would insure accuracy.I say mostly accurate because 19 "teeth" does not exactly produce the correct spacing but it's very close (researched only). There was some reference to another gentleman who solved this problem using 19 magnets and some type of pickup to furnish the signal but that "solution" remains in archives. I have no intent of pulling the transmission to resolve a problem mostly addressed by GPS, ABS speed signal, and a manual boost control valve. I do not care for manual boost control valves although, in this case I am using one, so the intent here is to 1) figure out a simple, cost effective, elegant solution that does not involve pulling the transmission. I will also note that on one of my cars the transmission is currently out...the driving gear within the transmission appears to be good (made of alloy). 2)Assuming what I see is actually what spins the transducer gear then my problem does not stem from the internal gear. As I have already replaced the transducer gear and this did not resolve the problem, further investigation is in order for the "pulled" transmission.Good luck...I may have a solution for this problem sorted in two weeks time. Sorry I cannot provide that immediately. The other solution that comes to mind is to use a type of signal modifier for the ABS signal which off-road vehicles employ to regain accuracy of speedometer readings when using a larger (think monster) wheel/tire combination over "stock". The prices of these products are high...although someone with more expertise than I may have an economic solution. Accuracy would be very good. Again, no pulling of the transmission.
