I have almost 300K on my TCS aero. Others have touched on the basics here and there is a good deal of info in archives/general search. My personal experience has been that every 80K miles or so I have TCS issues (or hits) as described by some which start with one and then multiply until its a real problem. I test the safety run-off valve first. If good, I then disassemble the throttle body and clean out the interior where the sensor "brushes" reside with electronic parts cleaner. I pay particular attention to insure that the different sections of the interior "cylinder" are very clean. I suspect particulate buildup from the brushes here prevents one side of the position sensor agreeing with the other side. I then re-assemble and enjoy the next 80k without any problems. Note: the safty runoff valve has about an 80 to 100K life. Keep one on hand. Fastest way to test if its the valve of the throttle body. My TCS throttle body is the newer ALLOY one. So far 100% success. No ISTAT in these parts. Good Luck. PM me if you want to discuss it.
