Flaky gas gauge

So My 1993 Aero has this weird thing where I'll go over a bump and the gas gauge will suddenly read that it is full but the empty warning light will be on at the same time. If I moderately smack the dash top (or more recently the side of the ACC unit) it will snap back to correct position. Also, my "shift up" light stopped working long ago (which I'm fine with haha) but occasionally it will come back on for like 20 seconds. I have taken out the ACC unit and the EDU and fiddled around with the wiring/ re secured the harness to the Gauge panel and it still happens.
Any thoughts?
