I used a 15/16 inch deep socket on my cars - just verified it in my special "SAAB Tools" box, bought it years ago. Since 15/16" is 23.8mm, you could probably use a 24mm socket.
Note though that some have reported that some aftermarket sensors may be a different size, i.e. 22mm which is approximately 7/8" - see link. Measure the replacement part before removing the existing part.
