You have said that it shows good compression so it plainly has not been hitting the valves with the pistons, if it is somehow out of time. That's good.
Since I assume this is a DI cassette it knows where it's timed to relative to the crank and isn't firing wrong.
So as I say re-check the camshaft timing. You did have the chain tensioner out of the head when you installed things, and put it in and released it to apply tension once things were lined up right?
