What you're reporting sounds as if you have the motor back together righ, I was kind of worried that maybe the chain had slack and that would mean something could get ruined.
You say oil pressure light hasn't gone off. With plugs out, cranking it over, you should pretty soon get oil pressure, or crank it till you do, before moving forward, though that's probly not the cause of your no-start.
You do have enough oil in the engine, of course?
There's supposed to be a way to check out the DI by putting plugs into the coil springs, grounding each of them, and observing them while you crank looking for spark.
