Hey guys--been a while since I posted. I've still been around, mainly as a lurker and for research.

I still have 2 9000's--a 92 9kt at 260,000+ and a 91 S with 283,000 on it.

It's the 91 that's giving me fits at the moment. It's an automatic, nonturbo and non-TCS car.

It's stalling out on us. The stalling has appeared a few different ways--when you totally let off the gas when coming to a stop, it stalls out. When starting up cold (or hot), it turn over and catch, then stall out. It's pretty consistent, although I've had it start up and run at normal idle speed for 5-10 minutes. Until the next day, then it won't start up and hold a normal idle. I can get it to start and run by feathering the gas at start, and if I slowly back off the gas pedal, it'll hold an idle between 500-800 rpm

Here's what I've done so far:
1. Cleaned throttle body and IAC with carb cleaner
2. Regap spark plugs
3. New spark plugs (old ones looked worn)
4. Replaced vacuum line to FPR, and PVC bushing in valve cover
5. Reattach vacuum line between gas tank and charcoal canister
6. Unplugged O2 sensor
7. Cleaned air mass meter with carb cleaner
8. Swapped DI cassette for known good one
9. Adjusted idle screw up a bit (seemed to help at the time)

I think the only piece left that I haven't touched is the coolant temp sensor, but I'm not sure that it comes into play upon startup, if at all for idle speed.

At this point, the only thing that makes sense is a new (or slightly used ...) IAC motor. It's the one thing that all the symptoms point to. Is there a way to bench test the IAC motor?

Just wanted to post and see if you all have any ideas or suggestions that I've missed.

Thanks for any help you guys can provide.
