Blew a brake line :/ Posted by turrbo [Email] (#8) [Profile/Gallery] (more from turrbo) on Wed, 8 Apr 2015 19:03:29 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I had to make a panic stop the week before last for some d-bag that tried to cut me off when I was going about 50 mph. I slowed in time but at the next red light, my pedal was sinking to the floor. It got worse throughout the day and ended with almost no braking power, so the tow truck took it to the dealer. It's the left rear line (not hose, which I have all SS), but they advised replacing both since the other was rusty too. According to the Saab inventory system, there were supposedly parts for both lines available (in Sweden or at the distribution center in PA, not sure). Unfortunately, the right rear line arrived but the left rear (the blown one) did not and Saab can't find another in their stock. Apparently one dealer in the US has one, so my guys are trying to buy it from them. Since these are the really long rear lines, they advised trying to go with Saab ones rather than fabricating some, and I agreed. But if the one dealer won't sell it to mine (which they said could happen), I guess I will have to get creative!
Ugh! Just when I bought a new subwoofer to put in, too!
