I'm surprised if the wires are different. We're talking about the same switch, at the end of the lock tumbler on the door handle.
I replaced the wimpy '96 central lock controller with a '94 controller (which has better relays), and the operation is unchanged except that the '94 controller doesn't fail regularly like the '96 controller.
I made an error in my post. The central lock controller doesn't tell the alarm to turn on/off. From the door handle microswitch the red wire goes to Pin 6 of the alarm controller and Pin 1 of the central lock controller. Red=Unlock. Yellow goes to Pin 17 of the alarm controller and Pin 2 of the lock controller. Yellow=Lock.
