What happens when all of the doors are locked and you unlock the driver's door with a key? It is possible for the microswitch to work in the unlock position and fail in the lock position.
What happens when you lock and unlock using the key in the front passenger door?
What happens when you lock and unlock using the key fob?
If central locking works when you use the key in the passenger door or when you use the key fob then the lock controller is working and you have a microswitch problem in the driver's door.
If central locking works but stops working after you have locked/unlocked several times in a few seconds then that is normal. The system is protecting itself from overheating. Wait a few minutes, and it will work again.
