Since the engine made one revolution while the intake cam did not (from your explanation), I would expect to see 4 bent intake valves when you take the head off. The engine is an interference design, so the valves have to be closed when the piston reaches the top of its stroke.
I had a timing chain break, and I had to replace 4 intake valves and 2 exhaust valves. The valve stems were bent, but the guides did not suffer any damage.
