One thing I learned on my '93 was to remove the upper heater hose at the heater core. This gives you another inch of movement to pull the blower motor to the driver's side allowing the blower motor assembly a lot easier. I fought with mine for 45 min. to an 1 hr before I figured this out. Very little antifreeze leaked into the metal area which I just wiped out. I had to replace blower motor due to slow spin up, commutator wore out - grooves from brushes were so deep needed to replace so I also did heater core. Turns out my core was also leaking but the leaking antifreeze would dry and seal as it had dried antifreeze along edges. Note the large electrical harness is below the false front panel on a '93 where later models it runs through the false front panel.
