Check power to control module? (Ari's no-start step 2) Posted by JerseySaab [Email] (#666) [Profile/Gallery] (more from JerseySaab) on Sun, 21 Jun 2015 09:38:12 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I have a no-start situation with my '95 CSE. Yesterday the battery was completely flat, so I charged it overnight and it now load-tests and cranks OK. Still no start.
Quick checks - fuses #13, #14, and #23 are OK and have power as indicated in Ari's checklist. I sprayed starting ether into the small PVC intake port on the intake, still nothing. (No spark.) Tried spare DIC. still no spark.
So going through the checklist, the car fails step #2; when the ignition is turned on the "Check Engine" light turns off after a few seconds intead of staying on. The next step listed for this is "check +15 (ignition on) supply to the control module." I double-checked that power is present on both sides of fuses #13 and #23 when the ignition is on.
What else to check at this point?
