Rear sway bar question

I was looking at the rear sway bar on my wife's 98 9k, while working on the brakes, and it looks to me like the bushings on the chassis end of the sway bar end links may be getting kind of worn. At least there is quite a lot of sideways movement there when I push on it.

Problem is that these bushings are apparently not replaceable and you have to buy whole new sway bar links at $110 each. If I was spending that kind of money I would just upgrade to the SAS sway bar (which I had on my 1995) - which may not be a bad idea anyway.

So my question is twofold:
- Is there supposed to be a lot of lateral movement on those end links?
- Has anybody successfully replaced just the bushing instead of the whole assembly?
