I don't know how much lateral movement is normal.
You can find bushings. I'm not sure whether you're referring to the bushing at the very end of the rear sway bar (google part number PFS902078 if so) or the bushings that aren't at the end of the sway bar (google part number ENS-9-5156G if so)
I haven't replaced the bushings at the end of the sway bar. I replaced the other bushings long ago with the ENS-9-5156G. It's a universal 19 mm poly part made by Energy Suspension. It is split so it slips over the bar. Easy to install. If the old rubber bushings are shot then you'll notice an improvement in the handling.
