Simon - you are correct, it's the bushing of the pivot part of the rear chassis link I was referring to. eEuro refers to it as an end link so I just used their terminology.
I recall installing reinforcement plates under the trunk, which is what I must have been thinking of rather than replacing those links when I installed the SAS sway bar last time.
I guess I won't worry about it for now, unless I start to notice any degradation in handling.
