I apologize up front for giving what I believe to be a vague description, but electronics is not my strong suit. I've been a professional autobody tech for 35 years, but electrics...well let's just say I don't belong near them. I've pulled the tranny on this car to do a new clutch setup and rear main seal. Done a headgasket myself with no issues, etc. NOT afraid of the work, just afraid of the electrics!! Anyway, here's what I'm experiencing;1993 Aero, w/5 speed. Driving along, speed not seeming to be a factor, (ie: doesn't happen at just one particular speed) I'll notice that there seems to be a general 1/4 second cut out of all electricity to the car. The radio sound, the gas milage indicator, triggering of start up dash lights, (TCS, ABS, SRS). It'll be a super brief "break" that I notice mostly by the radio shutting off for that nano-second of time, then it goes back to running just fine. I've been dismissing it as nothing more than an inconvenience up till yesterday, when the "blip" lasted perhaps half a second during acceleration. Car just nose dropped, as the electrics cut out long enough to seemingly shut down engine electrics. It almost seems like I'd find a ground wire that is like a MAJOR ground for the entire vehicle has a break in it, and occasionally the wire wiggles and shuts power off to the entire vehicle. I looked at the big ground wire on the alternator, looks good there. There is definately a connection to the AC, as I only suffer this problem when the AC is on. Anybody here ever dealt with a problem like this? SAAB driver for over 20 years now, but mostly c900s. The 9000 is a beast that keeps me on my toes almost constantly. ANY input here would be much appreciated. Thanks, Bob
