Front Control Arm bushing Cost Posted by thetallguy [Email] (#1698) [Profile/Gallery] (more from thetallguy) on Sun, 23 Aug 2015 17:27:30 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I took my cleaned up control arm with my front bushing and rubber assembly lube to a Saab specific repair shop and requested that they remove and install just the front bushing (smaller diameter of the two). I inquired if they had the correct tool to do this...the finished cost has come back to me at $100 for one arm/bushing. Just for the install, arm off the car, genuine bushing provided. I have two 9000s. That would be $400 total for all arms. This seems very high. So I would like to ask those of you who have done suspension upgrades or bushing replacements what your cost has been and if its an unusually difficult job. I am willing to pay a reasonable cost for a perfect job; I do not have the tool. My thought was that it should be a ten minute job for them IF THEY HAVE THE TOOL. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I have not yet spoken with the shop about the cost and would like to have an idea beforehand as to what is involved. Perhaps this is the best deal of the century...I am thinking not.
Please steer me toward a tool/manufacture for the rest of the job. Thanks for the help.
