The main objection I have here is this: there is no car to bring into the shop, no lift usage, no fasteners to struggle with, no car to take down off the lift, and no additional problems or clean up. They can do it at their leisure. I'm in no rush and said as much. A minimum shop charge is to cover some of this effort which is not here in this case. If its not a difficult job then certainly I am being charged way more than I should be...we will see what they have to say about this. I have had some questions/concerns about this shop; I am newly arrived to this area. For me, its important to build up a network of people I can depend on. Barring that, knowing the measure of a shop and what I can expect also counts...Saab specific shops are few and the owners are super nice. Losing a few dollars here is not the end but paying out the nose would be, for me, damn hard to swallow without comment. The trick here is being appropriate and not aggressive. Must be appropriate.Must be appropriate. This is going to be difficult. Thank you for the observations.
