I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this:
A few months ago I had my clutch, master, and slave replaced. Everything worked fine until the other night when the clutch pedal stopped working. It was diagnosed as a faulty hose from the master to the slave, as well as a faulty master. After paying to have both replaced (thank god the master was still under warranty) I had a problem where while I was feathering the clutch pedal to get up a hill, it stuck in and would not come back out. Luckily I was able to get my foot under it and pop it back up. In doing this the pressure was restored and the pedal worked fine again. After having this happen I took it back to them where they went on to perform a "TBS on the clutch spring". When I got the car back I noticed that I could no longer use cruise control, and that the clutch spring was missing completely which means the pedal is now riding on the clutch instead of sitting a little off of it. When I called back they said that the cause of my earlier clutch pedal sticking problem was this spring and that they removed it. When asked if I could use cruise control again they said there was an adjustment on the pedal that would push it off of the clutch. This seems kind of fishy and I can't for the life of me find that adjustment or figure out how that spring was causing my pedal to stick (as it never did this in the four years I've owned the car prior to having this replacement). Does anyone have any knowledge of this "TBS on Clutch Spring" or what exactly they were talking about?
