Hello,
There is really no information sent from the transmission to the engine controls in those years. Since I am in the U.S. like most people hear I have a few questions on your car being a non-us car.
Does your car have a distributor or a coil pack for engine spark? I ask because here the red box is used in cars with distributors and conventional spark plug wires.
Is the kick down cable for the automatic transmission adjusted correctly? It is half of the control for when the transmission shifts. Being an auto box shift points will effect boost levels be changing engine load.
The red box basically controls the turbo and allows more boost to get more power. Look forward to hearing back from you. Good Luck, Bernie
