No, I would not recommend it. Just have them re-surface it. They'll also recommend magnafluxing it for cracks which you can do for cheap piece of mind but it's not really necessary especially if it hasn't been overheated. The only other work you might consider is replacing the valve seals, especially if you're using any oil, but you've got pretty low miles on that head so even that probably isn't really necessary.
