If you want to buy a car that will appreciate, then buy an e30 M3, or an air-cooled Porsche, or a split-window VW westfalia... don't buy a '92 Saab.
If you really like the early '90s 9000 CD, then the Griffin Edition was at the very top of the range. They are beautiful cars, with a lot of character, but I'm not sure that it'll appreciate.
(Aside: I remember my parents test-driving driving a '91 9000 CD, but we needed a bench seat as we hosted an exchange student for a year and needed six seat belts. My dad always liked the 9000 when he drove it, so a few short years later, we ended up with a '92 9000S. One of the best cars our family ever owned, and we went through cars rather regularly as my dad just liked having different things around. My mom wouldn't let him sell the 9000S for years.)

(I own a 9000 Aero. If there's a 9000 that will appreciate, then the Aeros might be it, but that wasn't on my mind when I bought it, and it'll never appreciate very much.)
