Bob, thanks for your input, particularly the caution about the high speed fan fuse which is 30 Amp. The low speed fuse is a 40. If "normal" coolant temperature as set by the thermostat is approximately 195F I thought that allowing the temp to rise to 224F should have caused some gauge movement. As an experiment I may pull both fuses and allow the temp at the thermostat housing to rise to 250F before I insert the low fan fuse just to see if the gauge moves. Your thoughts please.
