Should have known I would not get off easy after fixing the oil pump seal!
Normally when something else goes wrong after doing a job you look for what might have been inadvertently disturbed. Can't think of anything I did while working on the oil pump and serpentine belt that would have caused this problem.
The symptom is that when you turn the headlights on, the left-side low beam is very dim. Then when you turn on the high beams neither bulb on that side lights up. I tried new bulbs and that didn't help. Fuses look OK, and I swapped in the orange and red relays from my other 9000. No change. (Turn signals, driving lights, and small bulbs in the headlight housings work OK. The small side marker lights on the side of the fenders do not light up.)
It's kind of hard to tell from this photo, but the bulb just glows a dim orange, you can stare right into it as long as you like with no discomfort...
