I think my tolerance for niggly issues has gone down in recent years. I do have a backup car so it's OK if it's laid up for a few days while I source the parts and find time to do the work (I do all the work myself).
Oh, one of the gas tank straps just let go a few weeks ago so I replaced that, and have the other side ready to do as preventative maintenance!
Thanks all for your comments. I will keep an eye out for a replacement but won't rush into anything.
