Ok, so first a little diagnostic info that should help.
The new Orange relay up front doesn't have anything other than circuits, no actually relays. And when it works it's an all or none situation so if you have a left low beam out but NOT the right don't start with the relay as if one low beam is on then the other should have power.
ALSO IMPORTANT this applies to Euro Spec headlights!! Where the big round bit can be removed to access the headlight bulbs. (Maybe they are all like that I don't know) But I started with the basics, get a bit of wire and with the covers removed touched it to the bak of the bulb and a ground. BINGO, light goes on. But I can see the ground wire and it's attached. Took out the fixture and found that the ground wire brown) travels from the high beam to the parking lamp then to the low beam light where it is crimped together with a separate wire for the low beam and going out to the connector.
My ground wire looked fine but was in fact disconnected internally right at the crimp for the low beam/connector wire. Cut it clean, a little solder later and it works a treat!
As to the buzzing DRL relay I have one more thing to try, actually putting bulbs in the park bulbs, these are the ones inside the headlight assembly.
