my AC compressor went bad, so I unhooked the wire, a few weeks later when I loaned the car to my kid the pully froze.

Initially it acted and sounded like a dead battery, but I ruled that out after trying to jump the car, then taking the battery home and charging it.

I had kid release the tension on the belt and it started right up.

Unfortunately it was parked next to a sidewalk and there was really no way to jack it up and do work there.

I was able to compress the tensioner and put my Tool in there, cut off the belt and drive home.

Unfortunately everyone said that a 6pk2345 is the right size for the short belt, I know it did not fit mine. I had to use a 6pk2310.

I double checked my old one and it was the proper 2550 length.

Why does my 96 use a shorter short belt ?
