Or maybe duct tape.
The problem comes from the shaft/button not going far enough into the switch body. A quick fix can be wrapping some duct tape around the brake and/or clutch pedal shaft so the button is depressed further. You might have to fatten up the spot where the pedal shaft contacts the button. I did that with a folded up business card under the tape. This worked for me for several months. Did it before a trip and forgot about it until it stopped working. Then I found a used switch.
