If you have ANY choice at all in the car you pick, AVOID TCS cars and you'll never have to deal with ALL the things that CAN & WILL go wrong with this system. I just got my '93 Aero back today from my SAAB indy. The car has 115,000 miles and was a one-female-owner car prior to me. It's fixed AGAIN...but who knows for how long? Corrosion on 23+ year old terminals, under carriage corrosion, wear and tear, ALL contribute to TCS failures. If you avoid this system you'll have a car that you can work on yourself in your driveway. If you have the TCS car and it falters, you'll need ISAT diagnostic equipment to chase the problem...Oh, don't have one of those? The average Indy shop rate is in the $100 per hr. area for diagnostics, and my tech, (who's very smart) admitted to me today that being that he doesn't see too many TCS cars anymore, his talents have become a bit "rusty" on these, and this is at an exclusively SAAB indy! Good luck pulling into your run of the mill Indy and getting a tech who understands these 23 year old systems.. When they work, they're just peachy, but when that light doesn't go off after the start-up quick diagnostic, check your savings account balance and call your well educated SAAB indy...and try not to be offended when you say, "TCS" and you hear laughing in the background.....Good Luck! Bob
