1994 Aero/1998 CSE Trionic compatibility Posted by Porschephile951 [Email] (#2169) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Porschephile951) on Sun, 14 May 2017 10:18:10 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
So I just purchased a black, manual 1994 Aero with 112K, a Swedish Dynamics Redhead, amazing interior, 10k rebuilt trans, and a totally blown up bottom end. I was going to swap most of the Aero goodies over to my 1998 CSE manual, but I'm having second thoughts.
My conundrum is with the ODBII stuff. I really prefer to have an ODBII car, and I've sunk a bunch of money into the 1998 CSE with T7 cycling valve, harness, ECU modification. My question is how much difference is there between these ECUs? I'm guessing a range from potentially plug-and-play the ODBII into the 1994 car to it won't work at all and I have to agonizingly pull 20-year-old wire harnesses in a full swapiddy doo.
Anyone with experience here?
