Yeah, I sometimes lose track of when I've posted in the past about recurring problems. But unlike a lot of other forums, adding a new response to an old post here does not bump the thread to the top. So it's probably not a bad idea to revisit an old problem with a new post and possibly get a fresh perspective.
In any event, thanks for the tip. I'll pay particular attention to that ground point near the left speaker.
It's possible the engine stalling problem is coincidental. It would not be the first time I've had two unrelated things go wrong at or near the same time on a car. The symptoms feel like a dying/dead fuel pump but certainly could be electrical.
I need to finish up the '97 before diving into this one. So many projects, so little time...
