So first things first I don't have any whooshing sound when I open the gas cap. I have checked and double-checked and triple checked all the vacuum lines in the engine bay. I've cleaned the air idle control valve but for some reason it seems noisy. Brand new injectors, brand new fuel pump, second fuel pressure regulator but previous fuel pressure regulator tested good as well. I do have a check engine light code of the EVAP system. The line going from the EVAP to the intake manifold is clear and the Evap solenoid is working or at least making clicking noise like it supposed to be. I thought it was the check valve at the fuel pump but replaced it and it did not change anything. It has a tune from Mike D I actually just met him in St Louis and we did a in car tune. During the tune is when we got the EVAP code so we're thinking it's some sort of vacuum leak between the tank and the EVAP. I've been driving around for a couple of months with his tune in the car and have always had this hard start issue. But until I went to St Louis I had never had the EVAP code come on so that is new. The code I was getting before then was the car was running rich but we already knew that, the air fuel ratio gauge was showing that and we fixed that with Mikes tune. The car drives fine other than the hard starting issue and now it seems to be getting worse. He was able to tell me that the throttle position sensor was working properly, I put in a new crank position sensor yesterday. I put a new fuel pump and check valve in yesterday. And this morning it was even harder to start than normal. The direct ignition is brand new spark plugs have less than 500 miles on them. The direct ignition is a genuine Saab for me Euro parts. Any help would be appreciated.
