Wow Steve - such a thoughtful reply - again !!
OK, so:
I'll fiddle with the seat & I sort of remember that there may be a way to manually adjust it also & if my memory is correct it'll be a set it & forget it thing as I'm the sole driver so I can literally disconnect the power from it & call it good.
The possible ground behind the left speaker on the dash will be accessible when I have the dash top off, which will be very good, thanks.
Lock motors themselves are easy to test with a spare, which I have - but this sounds & feels more like a weak connection to me thus far.
The switch pack cleaning was an abortion for me on previous occasions & I broke a couple with my clumsy hands - good thing I likely have a spare for that too !!!
And... the mirrors can be tested using spares & like the locks, this seems very much like a weak connection problem to me.
The info about the older lock module is very interesting !!
Since I've got access to several older cars I can try that too.
I totally, absolutely agree that the archives of TSN are pure gold.
A real, amazing treasure & well worth the membership fees year after year IMO.
As to the pictogram - I just always neuter it & watch for any problems myself...only leaving the oil warning light with no more light-out warning silliness.
Too doggone many gadgets & warning lights & sensors & all the alphabet soup to describe that stuff -IS- itself a problem & that was my gripe since my younger years in Saab 99 cars=> then C900 cars=> ending up in that very 1st 9000 took some serious arm-twisting to make me do it a'tall !!
Admittedly there is no road back from an Aero BUT a 9000 minus some of the troublemakers is an improved 9000 IMO so it is a goal that I strive to attain.
Thanks Again !!
