O2 Sensors Posted by Bill Homer [Email] (#3427) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Bill Homer) on Sat, 20 Oct 2018 17:10:56 In Reply to: OBD...ABS...SRS...O2 - oh my !!, vtsnaab [Profile/Gallery] , Fri, 19 Oct 2018 16:39:09 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
For my 1994 Aero, I just bought a Delphi O2 sensor for about $30 from Rock Auto - closeouts. It's probably a rebranded Bosch or Denso sensor, and has the correct plug. I haven't installed it yet, as the Check Engine light went out as soon as it arrived........
They have a Bosch rear sensor for a 1997 on closeout for $18.71, which is pretty hard to beat. If you are clever with splicing, you could probably adapt one of these for the front sensor as well - I used to do this with my Audi A4 V6, which had four expensive O2 sensors to worry about; I used cheap Mustang V8 3-wire Bosch sensors on front, cheap Chrysler V6 4-wire Bosch sensors for the rear. I used staggered bare metal crimp connectors and heat shrink wrapped everything, worked fine for years. It's very hard to solder the stainless steel wire that is typically found in these.
