Hi John - another coincidence - I lived in Middle Barton for a year 1968/69 when at university, so we almost crossed! Unfortunately the only Burlington I've visited is the one in Vermont

I bought my first 96 in about 1977, my second - an Anniversary model #101 - in about 1984, with a 99 Combi in between

The 325i is a lovely engine, a proper 3-litre six cylinder - now BMW has gone over to four cylinders for many of the 4-series cars, which suits a Saab but not a BMW

I have replaced the suspension with one designed by Rhoddy Harvey-Bailey, softer springing/better damping using Eibach springs and Bilsteins all individually specced by a BMW specialist called Kevin Bird. Much nicer ride and control on my 19" low-profile tyres
