bad frequency valve? i have four of these things, pulled from wrecks at the junk yard, none of them buzz like they should.
-all of them ohm out at 2
-the harness shows voltage (9 when car not running, 12 when car is running)
-the needle at the end moves in freely on all of these
-i've added drops of B12 injector cleaner into these to help free up any gum
should these buzz when voltage is applied? or does this occur because fuel is moving through it?
looking for any other test options:-)
*quick update*
i used a 9 volt battery to jump across the FV and was able to actuate the valve. each valve worked and sounded the same :-)
when i connect my multi meter to the test port of lambda on 4cyl dwell setting (78 turbo) and turn the ignition to on, jumper over leads 30 and 87 under the fuel relay, i get a reading of 19. wouldn't that make it a frequency of 85%? or 15%
