Wouldn't it be nice if everyone would refer to the aspects of an engine by universally valid means: Timing End instead of "front", Drive End instead of "rear", Intake Side & Exhaust Side. Front & rear became obsolete with the advent of front wheel drive including transverse mounting. I still don't figure the necessity of "driver side" & "passenger side"; apparently people get easily confused in states which put plates on both ends.
