When I had to pull the tranny out of my 73 96, to put in my 70 96 (4 sale),
I ended up setting fire to the rubber tranny mount with a propane torch,
took about an hour to burn out completely, then I still had to call my
neighbor over who had a crowbar big enough to pry on the chain around the
bell housing. It finally came out ! The body went to the junk yard who
crushed it. I never had any trouble with this in the strokers i had.
